MUSIC, inflatables and family-friendly fun is set to fill Southend as a festival for toddlers takes over a park in the city.
Raver Tots, “the biggest and best family friendly outdoor festival”, will be at Garon Park on Monday, August 28.
It will take place between 12.30-5pm with “all ages welcome”.
The day is filled with top DJs throughout the day, fun fair, inflatables, as well as food and drink stalls.
Derek Jarvis, councillor responsible for arts, culture, heritage, and leisure, welcomed the return of the event.
He said: “It sounds like an excellent event to get families together and out and being entertained.
“I wasn’t aware of this event, but I generally like to see events held on all fronts.
“One of the things about where we live in this area, being surrounded by water, is to encourage people to still come to Southend which is what events do.
“We have done that with the seafront car park charge changes too.
“It sounds like the right sort of things that should be happening in the city.”
Raver Tots is the UK’s biggest family-friendly party, where kids and adults can hit the dancefloor together.
They host events across the UK all-year round for families to enjoy.
Ticket prices range are £25 for children and £30 for adults. Babies under 12 months is £4. All tickets need to be booked in advance of the event.
A spokesman for Ravers Tots said things change every-year so a return is not always guarantee, so urge residents to visit the event.
They said: “Raver Tots is coming to Southend for the biggest and best family-friendly outdoor festival yet.
“With various changes in the area this could be the last time for Raver Tots Festival in Southend.
“We cannot guarantee what the future holds so please do not miss this very special event.”
