PEOPLE heading on trips to experience unrivalled sights in the Thames Estuary have been treated to a new vessel.
Jetstream Tours, an operator that offers boat trips to the eerie Second World War Redsand Towers and Kent, have put their largest passenger boat Cruiser in service.
It is fully licenced by the Maritime and Coastguard agency as a Class IV – meaning it is used exclusively for pleasure purposes – and VI – engaged only on voyages with no more than 250 people on board.
She boasts an enclosed lower deck for when it is raining and an open spacious top deck for when the sun is shining.
As well as this, people can relax and have a tipple while enjoying sweeping views, thanks to the stocked bar, lounge and large panoramic windows.
With her versatile capabilities, it makes it the perfect passenger vessel to get close up views of the forts and to gaze upon the coastline.
Due to boarding requirements from the head of the pleasure pier, loading is via a gangway, which does not allow access in a wheelchair.
However, wheelchairs can be used aboard on the main deck if individuals are able to step onto the boat.
Last week, people heading out on a trip to the forts, which also includes a sail past the wrecked American cargo ship SS Richard Montgomery, used Cruiser.
Tickets for this 3-hour experience cost £27 for adults aged 18 to 64, £25 for concessions aged 65 and over and £22 for children between three and 17.
A family-of-four pass is also available for £85 and infants go free.
Admission includes access to the pier and use of the train.
