A popular nightclub transformed into a live TV set last night when a reality show star came to the city centre venue.

Popworld TV was hosted at the Warrior Square nightclub of the same name by Ricci Guarnaccio from Geordie Shore on Sunday night (August 27).

The brand releases weekly Popworld TV episodes on YouTube, and the live film crew captured all the moments at the Southend nightclub last night for the show.

Ricci entertained club-goers who danced the night away to pop hits from DJ Ryan S.

The 26-year-old joined hit MTV show Geordie Shore in 2012 and became well-known for his tumultuous relationship with I'm A Celeb winner Vicky Pattison, who he was previously engaged to.

He is also known for his appearances on Celebrity Big Brother, Ex on the Beach and Dinner Date.

Now he enjoys a career as a music producer under the name Ricci G, with his latest single Happy Place, with Josh Goodwill, featuring on Love Island three times this series and working its way up the charts.

This is not the first time a famous face has hosted a Popworld Southend event.

Boyband Five gave a special performance to crowds and took photos with fans for the nightclub's opening event. 

Popworld is a growing chain of nightclubs specialising in “cheesy pop music”, with sites up and down the country, including one in Chelmsford.
