A MAN has been “assaulted and threatened at gunpoint” during a robbery along Southend seafront.
Essex Police was called to Marine Parade shortly after 3.25pm yesterday afternoon.
This was after reports a man had been assaulted, robbed, and threatened with a BB gun in Marine Parade.
Officers carrying out patrols as part of Operation Union were given good descriptions of the assailants and carried out a search of the area.
Within 30 minutes, the officers managed to arrest three people.
A 19-year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Quick-acting officers have arrested three people following a robbery in Southend within half an hour of it happening.
“We received a call shortly after 3.25pm today (Tuesday 29 August) to report a man had been assaulted, robbed, and threatened with a BB gun in Marine Parade.
“A 19-year-old man and two boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after 3.45pm.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote incident 778 of 29 August.”
