A south Essex station was closed as a teenage boy was rushed to hospital after reports of a stabbing on a c2c train.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Grays station last night (September 4) after reports of the stabbing, and closed the station at about 7.30pm while officers investigated.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, according to British Transport Police, and he has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
He was taken to police custody where he remains.

A British Transport Police spokesman commented: "Officers were called to Grays railway station at around 7.30pm on 4 September following reports of a stabbing on a train. Officers attended alongside paramedics and the station was temporarily closed while officers investigated.
"One 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment – thankfully his injuries are not life threatening or life changing. He has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been taken to police custody where he remains.

According to reports, police are still searching for the other person involved in the incident.
