Southend's landmark pier has been transformed into a huge art gallery to showcase the brilliant pieces created over City Jam weekend...but visitors won't have too long to see it.
The temporary artwork created during the largest street art festival in Europe last weekend will be displayed at Southend Pier until Monday (September 11).
This is to give visitors more time to view the fantastic creations.
Photos shared by the pier and railway team show parts of the long hoardings on the pier for residents and day-trippers alike to enjoy over the weekend.
The festival was hailed a success by hundreds of residents who strolled down the High Street to watch artists create huge murals on the side of formerly grey and dreary buildings.
Over the weekend, dozens of artists also joined forces to paint long hoardings, as well as huge black boxes - including one at the top of Southend High Street which was painted with an array of colourful creations by four different artists.
Many of the murals are being made permanent additions to the city, and residents were quick to praise the street art as they visited the city centre.
This was the second annual City Jam festival, and it is hoped the event will return next year as well.
