FIRE crews helped to free a deer which was left trapped in south Essex.
In the early hours of this morning, September 10, crews were called by rail workers to assist in releasing a Muntjac Deer.
The deer had been trapped in a fence alongside a railway in Rochford.
Using hydraulic spreaders, the crew managed to release the deer and a after a quick check over it was quickly off on its way.
A spokesman added: "If this sounds like a job you would be interested in doing we are recruiting on-call firefighters."
