PEOPLE looking for an early fright and treat will be able to visit a pumpkin barn decked out with spooky decorations at a Southend garden centre tomorrow.
With just under a month to go until Halloween, Scott’s of Southend Garden Centre will be welcoming visitors to their attraction for a third time.
Guests to the garden centre, on Sutton Road, can pick up a “huge selection” of frightful toys, homeware and decorations, feast on themed cakes in an afternoon tea, or experience their thrilling virtual reality (VR) ride.
Handmade by the in-house bakery team, the afternoon tea includes triple chocolate brownies and ham sandwiches.
The spooky Twilight evenings, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, will give guests exclusive nighttime access to the barn, the afternoon tea, the haunted VR ride and a free pumpkin with photo opportunities.
This year, the team are introducing a SEN morning every Wednesday throughout October for those looking for and like a much quieter and relaxed experience.
Tickets for the Twilight evenings are priced at £34.95 for adults and £26.95 for kids; pets are also welcome.
The afternoon tea costs £26.95 for adults and £15.95 for children.
