HERE is a round up of some of the road closures planned in south Essex commencing later this month.

1. High Street / Stock Road, Billericay:

It is scheduled to be closed from October 30 for three days.

High Street / Stock Road will be closed from the junction with Western Road to the junction with Radford Way a distance of approximately 145m.

The reason for closure Is for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council

An alternative route is available via Stock Road, St Andrews Drive, Norsey Road, and vice versa.

2. Seax Way, Laindon:

It is scheduled to be closed from October 28 for 14 days.

Seax Way will be closed from its junction with Sable Way for a distance of approximately 25m in a north-westerly direction.

The reason for closure Is for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting and spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Hornsby Way, Fenton Way, and vice versa.

3. Barleylands Road, Great Burstead, and South Green / Noak Bridge:

It is scheduled to be closed from October 16 for five days.

The length of Barleylands Road, Great Burstead, and South Green / Noak Bridge, will be closed from the junction with Southend Road to the junction with Wash Road, a distance of approximately 1315m.

The reason for closure Is for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Southend Road, Crays Hills, Hardings Elms Road, Wash Road, and vice versa.

4. Hyde Wood Lane, Canewdon:

It is scheduled to be closed from October 17 for one days.

Hyde Wood will be closed from its junction with Canewdon Road for a distance of approximately 305m in a southerly direction.

The reason for closure Is for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Hyde Wood Lane, Apton Hall Road, Scotts Hall Road, Lark Hill Road, and vice versa.

5. Wansfell Gardens, Thorpe Bay:

It is scheduled to be closed from October 9 until November 3.

Wansfell Gardens will be closed from its junction with Willingale Way to outside and opposite property number 30.

The reason for closure Is for the safety of the public and workforce whilst gas mains replacement works takes place.  

An alternative route is available via Willingale Way, Fortescue Chase, and vice versa.
