Emergency services are responding to an incident in a quiet Leigh street as a councillor says the road is "blocked solid" with emergency vehicles.
A major emergency services presence has been spotted in Thorndon Park Drive as crews are dealing with an incident this afternoon.
Stephen Aylen, non-aligned Southend councillor for Belfairs ward, says the road is "blocked solid" with emergency vehicles, mainly fire engines as the incident is reportedly fire service-led.

Ambulances and police cars are also in attendance.
There are at least 8 emergency vehicles in the residential road. All emergency services have been contacted for comment and are yet to confirm the details of the incident.
