Marks and Spencer has revealed when its new-look Lakeside store will throw open its doors to customers at the former Debenhams unit.
The new 97,000 sq ft store opens next month at Lakeside Shopping Centre as part of a £20 million investment.
Shoppers are set to enjoy spacious and stylish new clothing, home and beauty departments, a new-look, marketplace-feel M&S foodhall and 139-seat M&S café once the new supermarket opens on November 15.
Highlights in the new, fresh-market style foodhall include a bigger-than-ever M&S bakery offering freshly baked bread, cakes and pastries throughout the day, and a dedicated M&S wine shop featuring an award-winning selection of drinks.

Store manager, Dior Hudson, who has worked at M&S for 10 years, said: “We are really excited to announce that the new M&S Lakeside store will open on November 15!
“I can’t wait to welcome the local community in to visit the store next month and see it all for themselves.
“Whether you’re looking for a big family food shop, the latest Autumn/Winter styles from our clothing, home and beauty departments, or a mid-shop pit stop in our amazing new M&S café – we’ve got you covered.”
The new-look store represents a significant investment and follows the retailer’s announcement that it plans to invest £500 million in its store rotation programme, creating more than 3,400 new jobs nationwide.
The new M&S Lakeside will be one of twenty new M&S stores to have opened across the country this year.
The store is located inside Lakeside Shopping Centre in West Thurrock Way, Grays.
Opening times will be from 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
