According to Essex County Council's website, the school was shut due to the toilets being "unusable" and "overflowing into classes".
The issues leading to the closure appear to be weather related, as Storm Ciaran has hit Essex today.
In a message to parents and carers after the closure, headteacher Mr Bulpett said: "We have issues with the drainage in school due to the rain overnight and this morning. This means we have no use of our toliets throughout the school, therefore we need to close immediately."
The school has been contacted for further information
