AN appeal has been launched after a man sustained a head injury during a serious assault in Westcliff.
Essex Police is urging for witnesses to come forward after a serious assault in Hamlet Court Road, at around 1:20am on Saturday, October 28.
Officers say the assault took place between Ditton Court and Canewdon Road.
The victim sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital. He was discharged later that day.
A 22-year-old man from Westcliff has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
He has since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Westcliff on Saturday, October 28.
“Investigating officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any CCTV footage from the area to contact us, quoting incident number 42/193174/23.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
