A COLCHESTER attraction celebrating 60 years has teamed up with a production company to launch a Christmas advert.

Colchester Zoo has just released its very first festive advert, entitled Tiger Spirit.

The clip follows the story of a young girl named Molly and her quest to find the courage to make friends.

After hearing the soft rumbles of a tiger growl, Molly’s parents take her to Colchester Zoo where she enjoys Christmas with her family. 

Whilst at the zoo, Molly finds her 'Tiger Spirit', which gives her the confidence to make new friends.

The zoo teamed up with Essex-based production company Deadline Communications and other members of the community to produce the advert, which is just under two minutes long.

Absolute Arts, singer-songwriter Katy for Kings, South Essex College, and First Essex buses, whose commemorative zoo bus features in the video, also had a part to play.

Katy for Kings wrote a song specifically for the advert, which has since been released as single on platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

The video comes as Colchester Zoo plans to finish the year on a high note by hosting a range of popular and sell-out Christmas festivities.
