A MAN has appeared in court accused of threatening people with an imitation firearm.
Connor Aylett, 30, was arrested on November 12 after officers recovered a knife and a knuckleduster at a property in Chadwell St Mary.
It followed reports a man had damaged a glass window with a hammer and paint at an address in Godman Road.
Witnesses reported seeing the individual with a black BB gun.
Aylett, of Godman Road, has since been charged with harassment, two counts of criminal damage, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, two counts of possessing an imitation firearm and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where he was remanded in custody until a hearing at Basildon Crown Court on December 12.
