SOUTH Essex criminals were handed major sentences for crimes relating to violent assaults, drug dealing and one criminal threw faeces at a police officer.
Here is a list of the criminals jailed in Basildon and Southend Crown Courts this month.
Aurel Ukcenaj, Xheni Ukcenaj and Elton Vata
These drug dealers were sentenced for a combined 29 years after they ran over and stabbed teenagers in a botched cannabis raid in Southend.
Aurel and Xheni Ukcenaj, 32 and 27, of Marischal Road, Lewisham, and Chase Side, Enfield, were charged with section 18 GBH and conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis).
Their charges involve an incident on October 11 last year as a group of men travelled from London to York Road, Southend, intending to steal from a cannabis farm valued at £75,000.
Their cousin Elton Vata, 38, of West Road, Westcliff, looked after the plants and was sentenced to 26 months for conspiracy to produce a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis).
The group of men fled and one was ran over whilst he was on the floor sustaining serious injuries.
Another was hit by the car and dragged along the car bonnet before being deposited, breaking his leg. He was also stabbed in the leg and back.
Both victims have recovered and the defendants were sentenced on November 10.
Richard Pole
Pole was jailed after admitting to being high on crack cocaine and alcohol as he threw poo at a police officer in Southend Hospital.
The 24-year-old suffered a seizure when was arrested on May 21 this year.
Following the seizure, he was taken to Southend Hospital and handcuffed to a bed before requesting a cigarette.
This request was denied and Pole defecated in his hands and threw excrement that landed on an officer’s chest.
He also smeared poo on his handcuffs and urinated on the floor whilst in a police van cage.
His Honour Judge Shane Collery sentenced Pole to one year and seven months in prison for his offences on November 20.
Oliver Chalk
Chalk was sentenced for assaulting his ex-partner driving dangerously whilst drunk in Leigh in the early hours of May 29.
The offences concern as Chalk, 36, was driving home with the victim following a night out at the Oakleigh Bar in London Road.
Both parties drank alcohol and were arguing on the journey home eventually leading Chalk to attack the victim, injuring her thumb and neck.
The victim called 999 and Chalk was tracked by officers to his address in Canonsleigh Crescent, officers started leaving their vehicle and Chalk drove at them at speed and a ‘slight glancing blow’ was made to the police car, causing no harm or injuries to the officers.
Chalk was jailed for six months for dangerous driving and two months for common assault which will run consecutively.
He is also disqualified from driving for one year.
Fabiol Tusha
This Southend drug dealer was jailed and faces deportation after police raided a Southend property and found almost 400 cannabis plants worth £270,000.
Tusha , 31, of Cline Road, London, was charged with producing a controlled drug of Class B and possessing criminal property.
Officers raided an address in Southend High Street at 7.30am on February 8 this year and found 390 cannabis plants.
A drone captured Tusha climbing to the roof of the three-storey building and walking along the tiles trying to escape.
Tusha was caught, arrested and on November 17 in Basildon Crown Court he was sentenced to 28 months in prison for producing a controlled drug of Class B and possessing criminal property.
Robert Kennedy
This paedophile was jailed for breaching a court order by downloading and deleting apps on his phone was jailed in Basildon.
The offences of Kennedy, 55, of no fixed abode, were discovered during a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) compliance check at Basildon Police Station on July 9.
The order had prohibited Kennedy from deleting apps on his devices without police permission, using software designed to delete history and downloading chat apps.
Between December 2022 and July 2023, Kennedy downloaded and deleted apps including Snapchat, WhatsApp and DuckDuckGo.
Kennedy appeared in Basildon Crown Court on Friday, November 3, and was sentenced to 13 months in prison for breaches of his SHPO.
