A CAUSE of death has been confirmed for a baby who died on the same day he was born.
Nathaniel Goodman was born at Southend Hospital on Saturday, August 12, but tragically died the same day.
At the coroner’s court on Friday, area coroner for Essex Michelle Brown opened the inquest into Nathaniel’s death.
She said: “The baby was born on August 12 and sadly passed away later that day.
“On August 18, a paediatric examination was performed at St Thomas’s Hospital, and the pathologist provided a cause of death of sudden unexpected early neonatal death.”
