Two men have been charged following a stabbing in Southend, which saw police shut off parts of Southend city centre.
Police were called to Chichester Road shortly after 3.20pm on Tuesday November 28, where a man was found who had sustained a single stab wound to his torso.
He was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.
Police arrested two men a short time later.
Daniel Mallet, 31, of York Road, Southend, has now been charged with GBH with intent and possession of a bladed article.
Paul Hughes, 30, also of York Road, Southend, has also been charged with GBH with intent and assault by beating.
They are both due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today.
