A SOUTHEND barbers has announced it will be offering free haircuts for the elderly and people struggling with health conditions this Christmas.
Cut U Up, based just off Southend High Street, announced last week it will be visiting elderly people at their homes to offer free hair cuts.
Bosses added they will also help any children and adults struggling with health problems and acknowledged the cost of living crisis has meant getting a haircut has now “become a luxury” for many people.
A spokesman said: “This year, following on from our community kindness initiative, we will be offering free home hair cuts for the elderly. And also for children and adults struggling with health concerns.
“We will be extending this offer to health care facilities. Everyone should have the opportunity to have their hair and beards cut with care, fair time, and consideration.
“I kindly ask for everyone to spread this information so we can help as many people as possible.”
The business will be doing the free haircuts between December 5 and December 14.
A free haircut can be booked by call 01702 870 601.
