A MOTORCYLCIST has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after a crash in Basildon.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to reports of a crash in Laindon Link at around 8:35pm on Friday.
On arrival, they found a three-vehicle crash between a motorcycle and two cars that had blocked the road.
Essex Police also arrived and closed the road whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
They have since confirmed a motorcyclist was taken to the Royal London Hospital by road with potentially life-changing injuries.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service to reports of a collision in Laindon Link at about 8.35pm on Friday, December 8.
At the scene we found a three-vehicle collision between a motorcycle and two cars that had blocked the road.
“We closed the road temporarily while we and emergency service colleagues worked at the scene.
“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.”
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service added: “One ambulance, one ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Laindon Link on Friday, December 8 following reports of a motorcyclist injured in a road traffic collision.
“One man was transported to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.”
