Police are urging drivers to avoid a south Essex road this morning after a car crashed into a home causing "extensive damage".
Officers and fire crews are on the scene of the crash in Argent Street, Grays, after being called to a single-car crash at 9.50am today.
A car had collided with a home "causing extensive damage", police say.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Thankfully, no one from the property has been reported as injured at this stage.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving without a driving licence and no insurance.
"The road will be closed for several hours whilst we deal.
"Please avoid the area and find alternative routes. Thanks for your patience."
