If you are travelling on the M25 this weekend, especially early in the morning or late at night, there are lots of minor closures to be aware of.
We have rounded them up:
Friday, January 19
On Friday, January 19, the drivers can expect closures on the M25 clockwise at the junction 18 exit and entry slip roads from 11pm to 5am, due to maintenance works
Junction 10 is also set for a roundabout closure for improvement schemes, affecting all slip roads and the area between junction 10 and the A3 Southbound entry slip road from 11pm until 6am.
There will also be closures between junction 25 to 26, including lane closures, a slip road closure and carriageway closure from 11pm until 6am on January 20.
In the anticlockwise direction, the carriageway from Junction 15 to 13 will be closed from 11pm to 6am, including slip road closures
The anti-clockwise carriageway from junction 9 to junction 8 will also be closed for surfacing works during the same time period, including entry slip road closures.
The link road from Heathrow Terminal 5 to junction 14 anti-clockwise will also be closed overnight on Friday for testing works.
Saturday, January 20
On Saturday, clockwise closures include from a carriageway closure from junction 27 to junction 28 and from junction 9 to junction 10, from 10pm to 5am and 10pm until 6am respectively.
The lane closures between junction 9 and 10 will affect the Cobham Services entry slip road
The junction 15 to M4 Westbound Jct 4B link road will also be closed from 10pm to 5am, with diversion through local authorities.
As part of resurfacing works between junction 31 and junction 2 clockwise, the junction from 1A to 2, the 1A entry slip road, and the junction 1B exit and entry slip roads will be closed from 10pm until 6am on January 21.
In the anti-clockwise direction, there's only one closure of the junction 15 to M4 Westbound junction 4B link road from 10pm until 5am.
Sunday, January 21
Sunday, January 21 will see the closure of the carriageway for the clockwise direction at junctions 27 to 28 from 10pm to 5am.
The Cobham Services entry slip road will again be closed from 10:30pm to 5:30am, along with a lane closure between junction 9 and 10.
The junction 15 to M4 Westbound junction 4B link road will also be closed on January 21, from 10am to 5pm.
Other clockwise closures for Sunday include the junction 1A to 2 carriageway, junction 1A entry slip road, junction 1B exit and entry slip roads, and junction 2 to A2 Eastbound Darenth Interchange link road.
These will all be closed from 10:30pm until 5:30am
Those travelling anti-clockwise will again only see the junction 15 to M4 Westbound junction 4B link road closed from 10pm to 5am.
The closures throughout the weekend are necessary for a variety of reasons including maintenance work, improvement schemes, resurfacing work, technology schemes, and testing work.
Please note, diversions via National Highways roads, TFL, and local authorities are in place during these closures.
Closures will generally only run between the hours of 8pm and 6am unless they are extended over 12 hours.
Early morning travellers should stay updated via the National Highways website as closures starting the evening before may impact their routes.
