A popular Southend seafront attraction has unveiled a new look to part of the business after a five-day renovation.
Sealife Adventure, in Eastern Esplanade, was closed from Monday to Friday last week for "annual maintenance works" before re-opening to visitors on Saturday.
The zooquarium, which has a number of exhibitions on offer including otters, a shark tunnel, and monkeys, underwent a makeover during the closure, with the gift shop getting a brand-new theme and the crocodile enclosure being revamped.
A spokesman for Sealife Adventure revealed: "Our maintenance, art and design, and operations teams have been busy renovating throughout our site, including our gift shop and crocodile enclosure!"
They added: "We have a brand new under-the-sea theme to our gift shop, and everything is in tip-top condition ready for the 2024 season. It’s amazing what you can do it just 5 days!
"Join us as we are back open every day until Christmas Day! We’re excited to welcome our annual pass holders and customers back, and we hope you love our new features."
The business is owned by Stockvale, the same owners of Adventure Island.
Adventure Island's inside play centre has now been shut for its maintenance period, with families encouraged to visit Sealife Adventure instead.
