THE heartbroken family and friends of a 34-year-old Rayleigh woman have been left devastated after being told she has severe brain tumour and just months to live.
Aimee Lynch received the devastating news that she has an inoperable cancerous tumour and was told by doctors she has just “three to six months” to live.
Now, Theresa Beale, 59, has launched a fundraiser to help support Aimee and her mum, Fiona, and give them the chance to create memories together.
Aimee visited Southend Hospital after suffering “unimaginable pain from headaches” before being told the devastating news she had a brain tumour.
In total, 249 people donated to an online fundraiser which has hit £4,145 to help her visit the Warner Bros Studio Tour London, in Watford, a drive-in cinema and go on other trips.
Theresa said: “It’s absolutely soul destroying, and we're heartbroken.
“All she ever wanted was get married and have children, but that’s not looking likely now, which is devastating.
“Aimée and her fiancé Darren are still having to pay the mortgage and bills even though she has been left unable to work and because of that, all the things she wanted to do, she can’t due to not having the funds.
“I set up the GoFundMe as I wanted to grant wishes for Aimée, such as going to the Warner Bros Studio Tour London, where they filmed Harry Potter, to the simple things, including a date night with Darren."
She is hoping the money can be used to help Aimee, Fiona, and Darren create memories together in coming months.
Theresa added: “Her mum is working through the early hours so she can be with her daughter during the day, and I’ve said whatever she wants to do, just go and do it, and I’ll pay.
“Sadly, she won’t be able to do everything on the long list of wishes, but if she enjoys some of them without having to worry about finances, then that’s amazing.”
