Drivers are facing "severe" delays on the A127 amid a lane closure in Eastwood.
According to AA traffic news, there are severe delays on the major road Southend-bound between the A129 Rayleigh Road and Bellhouse Lane, with an average speed five miles per hour.
There are also delays on the on A127 between B1013 Nestuda Way (Tesco Roundabout) and St Michaels Road. The AA is reporting an average speed of ten miles per hour.
There is currently a lane closure on the major road in Eastwood, as four trees along the centre reservation are to be felled by Southend Council.
A description on one.network states this is due to "severe decay and swaying in recent wind" making them a "danger to traffic". The closure is scheduled to end at 11.59pm tonight.
