A burst water main has lead to heavy flooding in Billericay causing a road closure and significant delays.
Pictures from the Perry Street roundabout, near Mountnessing Road, show water pouring out of a burst water main, flooding houses, the streets and the crossing - forcing the road to be closed.
AA Traffic news shows heavy congestion along Perry Street, as work is underway to repair the burst water main.

Essex and Suffolk water have posted on X - formerly Twitter - that they "are aware of an issue in the CM11 and CM12 area causing interruption" to water supplies, with a technician investigating the burst main.
Supply issues are usually resolved within two to three hours.
