A MAN has been charged with driving and drug offences after allegedly failing to stop in Canvey Island.
A white BMW reportedly failed to stop for officers in Link Road at 6.30pm on Thursday.
The vehicle allegedly made off from officers, causing damage to a police car, before coming to a stop in a nearby garden.
Robert Sims, 31, of Meggison Way, Benfleet, has now been charged with dangerous driving, possession with intent to supply Class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.
Police are looking for anyone with information to get in contact.
