A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on the A127.
Essex Police were called to the A127 Londonbound, close to Progress Road, at around 8am following reports of a crash.
The crash involved two cars and a motorbike.
As a result of the crash, the A127 Londonbound was closed for more than two hours whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident.
Essex Police has since confirmed a man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to a collision on the London-bound A127 close to Progress Road, involving two cars and a motorcycle shortly after 8am this morning, Wednesday, February 7.
"A man was taken to hospital with injuries which are serious but, at this stage, are described as not life-threatening or life-changing.
"No arrests have been made and our enquiries are ongoing.
"The road has since been re-opened.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage of it should get in touch. Please cite incident 223 of 7 February."
