NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven south Essex establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in south Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Southend:
Southend United Football Club Catering Units at Roots Hall Stadium, Victoria Avenue, Southend was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 6.
Boatyard Restaurant at The Boatyard Restaurant, 8 - 13 High Street, Leigh was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 5.
The Mayflower at 5 High Street, Leigh was handed a two -out-of-five rating after assessment on January 5.
Lucky Garden Chinese Takeaway at 192 Woodgrange Drive, Southend was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 2.
La Sirena Restaurant at 101 Leigh Road, Leigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 30.
Tara Thai Restaurant at 104 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 23.
Charcoal Grill at 21 Cluny Square, Southend was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 3.
