Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to identify amid a probe into a string of burglaries in a south Essex area.

Officers were called multiple addresses in Thurrock on February 7 following reports of residential burglaries and attempted burglaries.

The burglaries occurred between 2am and 8am at addresses on Prince Phillip Avenue, Heathview Road, Addison Gardens and McLeod Close. Investigating officers are treating these reports as connected and enquiries are ongoing.

During the burglaries, items including cash, car keys and a white Mitsibushi L200 truck were stolen.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are now in the position to release an image of a man, who we would like to speak with in connection with this investigation.

"If you know who he is, or have any further information which could assist, please contact us, quoting reference number 42/20400/24."
