TWO men have been arrested and stolen goods worth £1,000 have been recovered in Grays following a terrifying burglary.

Essex police were alerted to an aggravated burglary in Boxton Road, Grays, at about 9.30am on February, 15.

A group of armed people held a victim at knifepoint and “assaulted them”, before leaving with a “Canada Goose coat and a TV”.

Investigative officer in Grays, Operational Support Group officers, and firearms officers entered the address yesterday afternoon.

Officers entered the home and arrested two men on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Both men remain in custody.

Other items of interest were also seized during the search of the property and a white Land Rover of interest has been forensically recovered for examination.

Superintendent Steve Scott-Haynes, of Essex police’s operational policing command, said: “Burglary and aggravated burglary has a significant impact on victims, far beyond the financial loss they may face.

“When these incidents do happen, officers across the force work together as one team in order to identify suspects and ultimately make arrests and reunite items with their owners.”
