Drivers are facing "severe" delays on the A13 in south Essex as the major road is blocked after a breakdown.
The major road has been partially blocked in Stanford-le-Hope with slow traffic due to a breakdown at A1014 The Manorway.
AA traffic maps show part of the major road has been closed Southend-bound, and reports of "severe" delays.
A spokesman for Essex County Council's traffic control shared on X: "A13 Eastbound - Reports of an incident at Stanford-le-Hope (A1014) causing delays."
The traffic control has now confirmed the major road is blocked due to a breakdown, with traffic being diverted on slip roads.
