Police have issued a fresh update and renewed appeal in connection with their probe into an alleged serious public order incident in south Essex.

Officers still want to speak with John Ward, 31, from Navestock, in connection with public order offences in October 2023 in Chafford Hundred.

They are no longer appealing for the public’s help to locate a second man in connection with the ongoing public order investigation.

Ward is described as a white man of a stocky build with brown hair with tattoos on his arms.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "If you have any information, please contact us quoting reference number 42/193684/23.

"You can let us know by submitting a report online or by using our live chat service."

Live Chat is an online service available on the Essex Police website Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am and 9pm, where residents can send and receive real-time direct messages with an online digital 101 operator.

Alternatively, call police on 101.
