“Severe” delays are impacting drivers heading towards the Dartford Crossing on the M25, with queues backed up to beyond the A127 this morning (February 21).

Very heavy traffic on the M25 approach to the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge has been reported.

There are delays of around 15 minutes on the M25 clockwise, between Junction 29 on the A127 Southend Arterial Road (Romford / Basildon) and Junction 1A on the A206 Bob Dunn Way. The average speed is currently 15 miles per hour.

Congestion stretches beyond the A127 turning for Basildon, with slow traffic reported at Junction 29 on the A127 (Romford / Basildon) to Junction 28 on the A12 (Brentwood / Brook Street Roundabout).

Delays are easing on the A13 heading towards North Stifford, between A1012 and M25 Junction 30 for Lakeside and Purfleet. The average speed is 15 miles per hour.
