FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a fire at a south Essex workshop which destroyed a "number of vehicles".
Essex Fire were called to Mill Lane, in Fobbing, after reports of a workshop fire at around 8pm yesterday evening.
On arrival, six crews reported that the workshop, which measured approximately 15m x 10m, was completely alight.
Firefighters worked hard to tackle the fire and stop it spreading.
However, Essex Fire say a "number of vehicles have been destroyed by the fire".
Crews remained on scene overnight to dampen down hotspots.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
