NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight south Essex establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in south Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Basildon:
Station Cafe at 5 South Walk, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 15.
Giggling Squid at 120 High Street, Billericay was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 13.
Mintoo at 94 Whitmore Way, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 7.
Ali & Adam’s at 133 Nevendon Road, Wickford was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 24.
Castle Point:
Golden Bagel at 84 High Street, Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 15.
Delicious at 8 Pauls Court, Meppel Avenue, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 14.
Peri Peri Original at 283 High Road, South Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 14.
Crispy Cod Fish Bar at 135 High Road, South Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 13.
