A CAR park in Old Leigh is set to close for more than a year due to a regeneration scheme.
The Leigh Marshes car park will be closed from April 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, for the Leigh Port Regeneration Scheme.
The site, in High Street, Leigh, has 109 spaces available and is part of parking Zone 2.

Work at Leigh Port will involve construction of a new quay wall frontage, improvements to site access, dredging of the area beside the quay wall and channel, and resurfacing of the wharf to make the port a safe place to work and visit.
The scheme has investment from the Government's Levelling Up Fund.
