A MAN has been charged with a string of driving offences after a police chase on a busy south Essex road.
Police officers stopped a vehicle on the A130 at its junction with the A1245 just after 2.45am on Sunday.
They reported the vehicle initially stopped before setting off on a chase through Chelmsford city centre, Essex Police said.

The vehicle stopped in Maltese Road where it was involved in a crash with a police car and a barrier at a school.
Abu Riaz, of Christy Avenue, Chelmsford, has been charged with dangerous driving, drink driving, driving without insurance, and driving while disqualified.
The 36-year-old is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
