TWO people have been rushed to hospital after a four-vehicle pile-up on the A127.
Two ambulances were called to the London-bound carriageway of the A127 near Little Warley after receiving reports of a crash earlier this morning, the East of England Ambulance Service said.
A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed a man and a woman have been taken to Basildon Hospital for “further assessment and care”.
Traffic remains heavy in the area after the crash, which was reported to Essex Police just before 8am.

Detectives investigating the smash have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident and may have information which could assist their inquiries to come forward.
Essex Police said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving four vehicles on the A127 near Little Warley at around 7.50am today.
“The incident is ongoing and the road is closed.
“Please avoid the area if you can, we appreciate your understanding and patience.”
A spokesman for the force added: “If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam, or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote incident 184 of March 4.”
