A c2c line is blocked during this evening rush hour after passengers caused a "disturbance" onboard a train.

Trains have been cancelled or delayed on the south Essex train network this evening after a "disturbance" on a train from London Fenchurch Street to Shoebury.

The disturbance took place between Basildon and Benfleet, according to the rail firm's X page.

The line is now blocked at Pitsea.

A c2c spokesman said: "Due to passengers causing a disturbance on the train, train services via Basildon may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.
