A RECYCLING centre in south Essex has closed for the day, bosses announce.
Rayleigh Recycling Centre, in Castle Road, Rayleigh, has closed today, Tuesday, March 5.
This is to complete "white line painting".
It comes just a week after a controversial system requiring residents to pre-book slots at recycling centres across the county is made permanent.

A spokesman for Love Essex said: "Information about Rayleigh Recycling Centre.
"We just want to remind users of Rayleigh Recycling Centre that the site will be closed all day (March 5) to complete white line painting.
"Please visit an alternative site."
