NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 south Essex establishments; the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.
Here are the establishments in south Essex that have been awarded a new hygiene rating:
Southend:
Southend Square Pizza Limited, a takeaway at 117 - 119 Sutton Road, Southend was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 31.
Basildon:
Atalian Servest Food Co at New Holland Uk, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 26.
Amour Cakes and Shakes at Ridley Road, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 1.
Pizza Hut Express at 2 Broadway North, Pitsea was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 27.
Shuma Indian at 201 Timberlog Lane, Basildon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 26.
Castle Point:
Ada Brasserie at 296 London Road, Hadleigh was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 5.
Marley's at 675 High Road, South Benfleet was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 4.
Everest Tandoori at 163 Church Road, Thundersley was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 28.
The Crafty Cockney Pie & Mash Ltd at 105-107 High Street, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 27.
KFC at 59 High Street, Canvey was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 26.
