A TV crew filming the new docu-series highlighting the "inspiring" journey of midwives at Basildon Hospital is looking for expectant mums to take part.
The TV production company behind shows like Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over - Firecracker Films - is looking for parents set to give birth at Basildon Hospital to take part in the new UKTV series.
The Real Midwives Of Essex is aiming to provide a unique glimpse into the lives of the midwives who support thousands of families every year during childbirth.
Over a nine-week filming period, film crews will be granted exclusive access to the maternity ward to capture the first-hand experiences of midwives.
The crew will be filming different parts of the pre and post natal process as well as the birth itself.
It is hoped the documentary will encourage more people to consider a career as a midwife, and to provide a unique insight into the rewarding role.
The documentary is expected to premiere later this year, however an exact date is yet to be confirmed. It will air on W, formerly known as Watch, and free catch-up service UKTV Play.
Expectant mums giving birth at Basildon Hospital between March and May this year are encouraged to contact Firecracker Films by texting 07931427822 or emailing essexmidwives@firecrackerfilms.com for more information on how to get involved.
