Police have arrested three men in Chelmsford this morning following reports of a serious assault that left a man hospitalised.
Three men have been arrested following the reported assault in Little Waltham this morning, with a high police presence remaining in the area alongside dog units.
Officers were called to Moortown Place in Little Waltham at around 7am this morning, March 9, following reports of a man being assaulted.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Three men have since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in custody.
Chief Inspector Colin Cox said “Our officers responded quickly arrested three men within an hour of the assault being reported.
“There continues to be a large police presence in the area including crime scene investigators and dog units whilst we continue to gather evidence around this investigation.
“We ask anyone who was in the area this morning and may have witnessed anything to contact us.”
