A MAN has suffered serious injuries after being “trapped in machinery” in Chalkwell.
Emergency services swarmed to Chalkwell Esplanade at around 12:30pm following reports of a man having suffered “traumatic injuries”.
Several fire engines, ambulances, and air ambulance were on the scene.
The man has since been airlifted to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment on injuries which are reportedly serious.

At this stage it is unclear what machinery the man was trapped in, and what it is used for.
But the building was in Chalkwell Esplanade was just yards away from the c2c rail station.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 12.30pm with reports of a man having suffered traumatic injuries at an address on Chalkwell Esplanade in Westcliff on Sea.
“An ambulance, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. The patient was transported by air to Broomfield Hospital for further treatment.”
A spokesman for Essex Fire added: “Firefighters were called to Chalkwell Esplanade, Westcliff on Sea at 1.22pm today. When crews arrived, they found one person trapped in machinery.
“Firefighters used specialist equipment to free the casualty by 2.01pm. They were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.”
