Spring has officially begun and Southend Pier is hiring for new seasonal assistants with "competitive pay".
Southend Council has launched a recruitment drive as it is looking for seasonal resort assistants to work on its landmark pier and beaches.
A Southend Pier and Railway spokesman said: "No two days are the same on Southend Pier; from helping customers board the train to selling tickets to patrolling the beaches. The pier and foreshore is a fast-paced tourism service.
"We are looking for individuals who are customer focused and enjoy working outdoors."
In return, the council says workers will get competitive rates of pay, Bank Holiday bonus, and a contract until the end of September with the chance to be extended.
Anyone interested in applying is urged to send a cover letter and CV to piermanagers@southend.gov.uk.

This comes as Southend Pier will be moving to its new spring opening hours from Monday, March 25, with the landmark opening daily from 10.15am to 6pm.
Last entrance is one hour before closing.
