A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital after a crash on the A127 near Rayleigh Weir.
Yesterday afternoon, just before 2pm, the A127 Southend bound was at a standstill after a crash.
The crash involved a motorbike and a car.
The East of England Ambulance Service has since confirmed the motorbike rider has been taken to Southend Hospital.
A spokesman said: “We were called just before 2pm on Sunday, March 24, with reports of a road traffic collision between a motorbike and a car.
"An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officeThe crash involved a motorbike and a car. r vehicle were sent to the scene.
"The motorcyclist, an adult man, was transported to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
The crash caused severe delays on the A127 for almost two hours.
