Is your family pet the best ever?

Are they worthy of becoming an award-winner and do they have what it takes to be the newspaper's 2024 Pet Idol winner?

We're on the lookout for the region's very best pets. Maybe your dog is the best cuddler going, or your cat the most mischievous of them all. Perhaps your family pet is just the ultimate fur-ever friend, without whom your family wouldn't be complete.

We're inviting local families to sing the praises of their beloved pets - be it their dog, cat, goldfish, lizard or something even more unusual. It's the perfect way to give back to the animals that share their love and adoration with us daily!

How to enter

Using the link below, upload your pet's picture to be in with a chance to enter them in our 2024 Pet Idol competition. We'd love to see all manner of pics from them looking their cutest to their goofiest! Our editor will then select their favourite pet pictures to be printed in the newspaper on May 9, 2024, and readers will be invited to vote for their favourite.

The closing date for photo submissions is April 30, 2024, so get snapping!

The Prize

The pet with the most votes, sent in by May 20, 2024, will be named Pet Idol 2024 and the winner (well their owners) will also receive a £50 Tesco shopping voucher.
