A POPULAR pizza chain is set to shut one of its branches in south Essex as it announces a list of proposed closures.

Papa Johns has confirmed the locations of 43 UK restaurants which are set to shut within the next two months.

There is one site in Essex on the list, and it is located in Western Rd, Billericay. 

The takeaway pizza business said earlier this year that it planned to shut a raft of “underperforming” restaurants.

Bosses said that it will close the restaurants by mid-May following a consultation process.
