A POPULAR seafront attraction has announced it will be shut for the entirety of the Easter holidays.
Leisure Island Fun Park, a much-loved amusement park based on Canvey seafront, released the news to customers today ahead of what would normally be a busy Bank Holiday weekend.
The Eastern Esplanade attraction will be closed for the "whole Easter holidays" due to personal circumstances.

In a statement shared this morning, a spokesman asked for the privacy of the family to be respected at this time.
They said: "Unfortunately due to personal circumstances totally out of our control the park will be closed for the whole Easter holidays.
"We are asking for our family privacy to be respected at these times.
"There will be a update shortly."
The fun park next door, Fantasy Island remains open and has no plans to close this Easter.
A Fantasy Island spokesman shared: "We have been inundated with messages today regarding a Facebook post stating that the amusement park next door, Leisure Island, will be closed this Easter.
"It seems there’s confusion regarding the fact there are two amusement parks on Canvey seafront, so we hope with the help of our followers that we ask can you share this important information.
"We are Fantasy Island, a company that has operated an amusement arcade and outdoor funfair and golf for over 20 years.
"We are very much open and have no plans to close."
